Brown Cantabric Bear sighting

The Brown Cantabrian Bear population in Asturias has tripled in the last few decades. Female bears with cubs and big males are spotted every year in the mountains
of Teverga, Somiedo, Cangas del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias, where they live together with other animal species of deciduous European forests and Iberian fauna:
deer, wild boar, chamois and wolf. A must do activity in your next visit to Asturias.

We hope to see bear and other species in their natural habitat. This activity takes place in the wild and beautiful mountains of Asturias Since animal behaviour is unpredictable, sighting is not guaranteed. Meteorological changes may occur but most of the time we are lucky to see them.

The visit includes an environmental interpreter and official guide certified by the Principality of Asturias, high quality optical devices and transportation.

We recommend comfortable shoes, hat or cap, sun cream, raincoat, change of clothes, sleeping bag, water, food, ground-based telescope or binoculars.

A minimum of 4 people is required for this activity.
